A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been sent home from school after dying his hair pink as a “lockdown pick me up”.
Now the mum-of-three has said she is “livid” that teachers at the Writhlington School in Radstock have chosen to fret over her son’s hair colour after he's missed months of lessons."The problem is that he likes his fringe, I'm not going to allow it to be chopped off."I just felt it could have been handled so much better. Surely this out of any year is the year for some kindness.
"Billy was really shocked to see me getting so upset, he tried to make me feel better because that's the kind of boy he is." Alun Williams, the headteacher of Writhlington School, has said Billy can return to school and has asked for another meeting.The headteacher said the school offered to pay for hair dye or treatment to remove the pink colour."We have to have rules for everyone and we did offer to pay for any treatment.
School have rules for a reason, whether you like it or not nobody gives a shit, rules are rules or keep him home otherwise.
It's a rubbish rule . Y not experiment when ur young before you have a serious job. I feel hair colour or hairstyle doesn't effect education.
This is news? All schools send you home if you dye your hair an unnatural colour and have done for years. He's just trying to use Covid as an excuse for getting told off for breaking the rules
