Teachers' paychecks should be taken care of! Otherwise, there would be mass lay offs. Also, there should be different pay structures for the overseas recruits.

Soon with all the remote learning that everyone wants to do for the 'teachers safety' when school district start feeling the pinch for tax money they will laying off these teacher who don't want to work

The real problem is the dismal state of our educational system today.

I was a sub. Our schools have gone remote. I picked up a job teaching at a day camp and now make 50% more. Sub pay is awful. I can’t imagine going from class to class and school to school not knowing your level of protection.

For people that say home schooling is the answer. Have you thought about the parents that need to work? Not everyone is wealthy enough to have only one working parent.

Private schools are the answer. Give subsidies to families who need them. Free market is better than government.

In Germany My Husband has been working since pandemic started,March, everyday, In a WAREHOUSE, With Thousands of Men, all about 60 yrs an over, Overweight, Lots of Smokers.., And there in close Contact.., They are ALL FINE.., They are IN THE HIGH-RISK LIST.,..

Respect teachers!
