The head of the New York City teachers union is pushing coronavirus testing to avert a strike, as teachers and parents wondered whether a possible strike might delay the reopening of school buildings on Sept. 10

The president of the New York City teachers union said Monday that to avert a strike he was trying to reach a deal with City Hall to mandate new coronavirus testing for all students and staff before they enter school buildings for the first time this fall.

United Federation of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew said he planned to ratchet up pressure on Mayor Bill de Blasio to require such testing to curb the spread of Covid-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus. Mr. Mulgrew said it wasn’t clear whether his executive...

Hey it’s not like NYCMayor had 6 months to figure this all out. Oh wait yeah he did! How many people got tax payers money to sit home? Too many.

Test all you want... it will still hit the schools.

What possible good will testing do A person take the test and gets exposed on the way home. Test results come back negative.. CDC has already said that further testing isn't all that necessary. Try to keep up.
