Netizens chip in for teacher-turned-seller’s sari-sari store

Teacher Eloisa Gicar earned sympathy from netizens after her photos selling food in the street of Quezon City circulated on social media. This prompted Ayla Conda to encourage her fellow members from the Facebook group Quarantine Tribute Tips to chip in any amount for the teacher.

“I saw her viral photo po somewhere, then I remembered my lolo. He was a retired principal kasi so sabi ko let’s help Teacher Eloisa. May special place sa akin ang mga teacher ,” Conda told Manila Bulletin.“Madami pong nag-reach out, yung iba same reason sa akin why they wanted to help. Mga parents nila retired teacher ganun, pero mostly ang reason nag-aambagan kami kasi ayaw namin may taong nale-left behind ngayon pandemic, hangga’t kayang tulungan go lang ,” Conda shared.
