PETALING JAYA: Students planning to enrol into fully residential schools, national religious schools, technical secondary schools, vocational colleges or the Royal Military College for the 2021 session will have to apply for admission through a new single entry point system, says the Education Ministry.

"This single entry point system was developed for the admission of Form One and Form Four students to these specialised schools.

"The new system is based on a centralised application process as well as standardised assessment methods," said the ministry in a statement on Sunday . It said all applicants have to sit for a standardised entrance exam at 555 designated assessment centres nationwide, adding that applicants are required to do well in three components of the assessment to be eligible for admission.Application of admission for those entering Form One, Form Four and Year One of vocational college starts from Sept 7 to Oct 2.

The assessment for Form One applicants starts from Oct 12 to 23, while assessment for Form Four and Year One vocational college applicants starts from Oct 26 to Nov 6. Further information regarding the admission exam will be available on the ministry official website at
