Victorian Liberal MP Bill Tilley says he has petitioned the Berejiklian and Andrews governments to allow a border bubble that would open travel between Albury and Wodonga. “That would allow businesses to open, kids to get to school and free movement across the river,” he told Sky News.
Mr Tilley said there were issues relating to Aubury hospital, which was the main centre for COVID-19 treatment but which was off limits for Victorian residents due to the border closures implemented by the NSW government. “What we’re asking for effectively is for Daniel Andrews to put a harder ring around metropolitan Melbourne and those heavily affected areas”.
