All children in Australia attend school. Occasionally there is a Covid case. The school is closed for a few days for a deep clean and contacts are traced. It works well and children continue to receive a professional education.
It costs more to send a kid to his kids' school than many Americans make in a year. They can afford to install the necessary equipment to provide distance learning and hire extra teachers. Public schools can't afford any of it. It's apples and oranges.
