Humihingi ng clarificatory order ang grupo ng mga Catholic schools sa Department of Education hinggil sa bagong schedule ng pagbubukas ng klase sa Oktubre 5. Sa sulat ni Fr.

Elmer Dizon, Presidente ng Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines , na pinost rin ng Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines sa kanilang social media account, nagulat aniya ang grupo sa biglaang anunsyo ng DepEd na gagawing October 5 na ang pagbukas ng klase, imbes sa pinaghandaang August 24.

Nauna nang sinabi ng gobyerno na wala munang physical classes sa mga paaralan habang wala pang bakuna laban sa COVID-19, na patuloy na kumakalat sa bansa. Nakapagsumite na rin ang iba't ibang paaralan ng mga required documents gaya ng learning continuity plan, health and safety protocol, at school calendar na nagpapahayag ng kanilang kahandaan
