BUTUAN CITY – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration – Regional Welfare Office in Caraga is now accepting applicants for its two baccalaureate scholarship programs — the OFW Dependents Scholarship program and Education for Development Scholarship Program for A.Y. 2020-2021.
The legal dependent must be the child of a married OFW-member, or sibling of a single or childless OFW-member, the OWWA 13 LCO said. The scholar will be entitled to a financial assistance of P30, 000 per semester to be paid directly to the school. For incoming freshmen, meaning, grade 12 graduating students, they must be single and not be more than 21 years old, with a general weighted average of 85 percent or higher for the preceding school years and belonging to the top 20 percent of the graduating class.
