to inspections in September, starting with all schools graded “inadequate”, plus a sample of others. Headteachers will get one day’s notice of the visit, which will result in a letter on how the return to lessons is going and what needs to be done, rather than a grading.NO, absolutely not. I accept that Ofsted must continue with their regulatory role, so if they get wind of issues in a school around child protection and safeguarding, they should certainly go in and deal with that.
No
Ofsted is hopeless , ex head.
If parents are being dissuaded from entering the school grounds, which they are, for Covid reasons, then Ofsted shouldn’t be allowed within a country mile of them.
Ofsted visit schools they want to shut down by visiting at the most inappropriate times e.g. week before Christmas or last week in July. Really wouldn't surprise me if they rocked up at a special measures school in week 2 ofstednotfitforpurpose
No!
No.
Ofsted teams are quite old and vulnerable. Maybe not.
Blatant disregard for children’s safety: “ . fact-finding visit i..would be ridiculous and pointless.” & Pathetic arguments: 1. Wasting taxpayers money what trumps kids lives & controlling covid19? 2. Ofted visitors will increase the spread of covid19 - Laughable/
Of course they should but not fair on teachers and staff who will have other headaches. Ofsted also won't because of the virus threat. No one who doesn't need to be in school shouldn't be for quite some time
No. Because: A - Schools are going to have enough to deal with next term. B - There shouldn't be outside visitors going into schools, potentially spreading the virus from one school to the next one they go to assess.
Erm - to assess a school accurately (cough cough), Ofsted need to see a school functioning NORMALLY. Not until Jan 2021 at the VERY earliest. F*ckwits.
Don’t be ridiculous, havent schools got enough to deal with. What are they expecting to see and gain from an inspection? What’s the guarantee school will be open if there is a localised outbreak? They would need to revise their framework too- mind you they are brilliant at that!
No! Let everyone settle in until after Christmas. Nobody knows how things are going to workout and more pressure on schools isn’t the best idea at this moment in time.
'How far should government go to f*** up kids future' . Fixed it
