Starting in 1979 (CA Prop 13) + 1980 (MA Prop 2 1/2), the U.S. has systemically cut funding for public education by cutting + capping its main revenue source: Property taxes. We now have 2 generations of Americans who are less educated than their parents. That's how we got here.
