Sky News host Paul Murray says the alarmism surrounding the spread of COVID-19 in schools as a source of a future wave is unfounded.

There is 'no evidence' that a case of COVID-19 in a school is the start of wave two “You may have noticed on the 6pm news as they try to find a new thing to scare you about each and every night: ‘hundreds of students in isolation amid cases at two Sydney girls’ schools.’” Mr Murray said the medical journal The Lancet reported 27 COVID-19 cases across 15 schools and 10 childcare centres in NSW in term one.

However, there were only five secondary transmissions in schools, and following on from these cases, there was no further spread in any of the schools. “Is there any evidence that is seriously the start of the second wave in insert suburb, or insert city?” Mr Murray said. “No, to this point, there is no evidence of that. “I don’t have The Lancet journal of medicine as my homepage, but if that ain’t a good enough standard for you, you couldn’t care less what the actual evidence is.

Fuck of Paul, how about you spend some time out in the real world, rather than your right wing echo chamber
