Reopening safely is not easy. Many educators do not want kids or themselves placed at risk.

If you child is sent home for exposure to caronavirus, you have to quarantine them inside your home to avoid (maybe) spreading to others there. Then, do you tell your employer and others you interact with?
A temper check at the door is nearly worthless. Not everyone with Covid gets a fever. And you can have the virus but still be totally asymptomatic.
Yes schools will be tested if they don’t test every student & teacher before reopening for the COVID19 virus. Schools will need to test regularly & until a safe vaccine can be instituted. There are many companies who can provide this testing on a large scale. Stop the 3rd wave.

The people making the decisions don't care. The school board, the department of education, they do not care. Worst case scenario is they kill a whole bunch of children and their record shows that they really don't fucking care about dead kids.

How do all the day cares in my area do it. They’re all open and I never hear or read anything pertaining to a youngster contracting Covid 19. Maybe the schools need to take a look at the day cares and see what they are doing.

Phillips County, Montana had 0 cases until this last week. A group of people went to a wedding in Billings and now they had 21 positive cases. Now the superintendent and a teacher both tested positive in a school with less than 60 kids.

I work in a high school with seven different classrooms and at least six different staff members. If we go back to in person, guess who the vector will be. 🎯
This is going to sound selfish and self-centered, but I feel so relief that I'm out of school and so are the people close to me. I could not imagine the fear of sending someone I care about, to a place full of people for 8 hours a day.
