I object to being called Tory Tom, says Tom Bennett, whose approach to school discipline is ‘very low tolerance’

Reputations can be made – and lost – on Twitter, and few know that better than Tom Bennett, the government’s behaviour tsar in England. “Tory Tom”, as one head calledhim, has been accused of promoting “barbaric” zero tolerance regimes and sending children out of the classroom rather than trying to support them.

Why do we have all these Tsars and what are they for. I have never heard of this one. When Andrew Adonis resigned on a sking trip from his role as infrastructure Tsar in early 2018 no-one new he was there or had gone (he blocked me on Twitter for saying that)

And punishing children over and over again is like repeatedly trying to hammer a nail into a piece of decaying wood and blaming the nail for it.

Im a leech. White noisy, indisciplined, pestersome, foul-mouthed, unhygenic, violent anglo kids won't come near me. Once I dock, then I dry up them up into shells.

Letting kids off again and again is like expecting one of the scum 200+ conviction types who eventually murder someone. Kids need to learn boundaries. This doesn't mean using violence but they do need punishment when they cross the line.

I think he makes some very good points about consistency and ensuring you only have rules you intend to enforce. I try really hard to adopt this approach with my son and he responds well, I think because he knows I only make a point when it really matters.

UK still has more covid19 deaths than the entire EU

Sounds like a fascist.
