Victoria has recorded 725 new cases of coronavirus and 15 deaths, making it the worst day in the state – and the country – since the pandemic began.
Ms Boyle has described watching her daughter struggling to breathe, before calling an ambulance two weeks ago."She was struggling to breathe, she had a nasty cough and she just wasn’t herself," she told 3AW radio host Neil Mitchell this morning. Ms Boyle and her daughter spent the night at hospital in an isolation room, where "sometimes [nurses] would write on the window with a whiteboard marker to communicate instead of coming into the room".The family has been visited by police to ensure Ms Boyle was at home isolating as a close contact of her daughter's, but she said the officers did not inquire about the whereabouts of her partner, who was still a positive case.
