Distance learning works pretty well. The only problem that not all the teachers are qualified for bringing services into their students' home via Internet. Kids also need to have more skills using computers etc.
There needs to be massive strikes all over the Uk to remove these corrupt assholes from office starting with the civil service
Teachers are concerned w people’s health. We’re starting to see adults who had COVID19 are left w permanent organ damage. We have no idea what long term effects Covid has on a child’s developing body. Let’s not create an entire generation w life long pre existing conditions.
Protesting teachers look like a bunch of 'afraid of their own shadow' big baby libs. EVERYDAY life is filled with risks. No one is promised tomorrow. Virus is no more dangerous than daily risks of which there are many! Keep our kids from feeling fear and despair - IF you CARE!
Stop paying those who aren't working.
Schools have been open in many EU countries with minimal problems.
Just cancel the academic year. Continuing like this during a pandemic is exploitative and possibly a violation of their constitutional rights.
