"The fact they expect this to happen — expecting kids to sit at tables away from each other, having fields between them, especially preschoolers and kindergarteners ... I didn't think it was realistic," said Erica Howard, 30, who has three young children.
"It made me sad how different the experience would be," Jenkins said about watching it."It feels like a punishment for the kids. That makes me sad. The kids are kids. The idea that they have to focus on distancing, or to keep their masks on to be so far from their friends, it’s heartbreaking.""I FEEL IF WE NEED TO TAKE STUDENTS TEMPERATURE AND HAVE ALL OF THESE EXTREME MEASURES MAYBE ITS NOT TIME TO GO BACK," one commenter wrote.
Howard said she's also concerned about teachers having to"spend their whole time disciplining kids about keeping their masks on and disciplining them about keeping their distance, and less time on learning."
Even I’m opening later then them- and my county is doing really well, we get low coronavirus cases everyday. But I’m not sure about the entirety of Florida. Things are wilding over there.
All I see coming from this is increased suicide rates and they have already been increasing this year due to the lockdowns...at some point we need to decide whats more important mental health or risking a .01% death rate...
😳 I can see my friends but, I have to eat and walk along. How is this great for our children mental health?
Nope! F...

This makes me want to cry
My kid stays home.
asj519 Problem solved.
Shouldn't even be happening, if this doesn't make them feel isolated and alone I'm not sure what else would, this entire plan sucks.
The lined-up kids aren’t distanced while awaiting the promenade down the hall... performative weirdness
femme_phememe Hire the LCSW NOW!
SchoolpocalypticOpening😬😬😬
Anyone who says school isn’t for socializing is a liar these kids get no socialization time oh lord this gonna be bad
That just looks BAD.
That is what I expected except why are the teachers in lab coats?
Who knew Kevin James colored his hair and was on Tic Tok?
What did you think it was going to look like? I'm thinking even that teacher leaning over a kid's shoulder is probably not going to happen. You sit over there, I'll send you my feedback digitally.
Honestly it’s no where near as bad as I expected. And it’s far better than our district that’s basically ignoring the pandemic with its laughable plans.
Better than having a district full of children with acute social disorders from being locked in for 2 school years.
