Just froth - firstly figures also include disadvantaged whites - then it admits its fallen by only 1% - then it says ‘only 5% blacks go to high tariff uni compared to 10% of all students which seems a very high proportion. Too much racially polarised reporting.

If the proportion who attain good A level results: - has not fallen, that would raise a concern with the university system - has fallen, that would raise a concern with the school system. Is the Guardian too broke to hire a journalist to do this basic research?

Do you know what proportion of kids from unemployed or lower working class households are going to university or do they just not come onto your radar under any circumstances?

Gender is far bigger issue than race. And gender is the main thing within all those races. Despite women being majority in almost every single course (even most of STEM e.g. Biology, medicine etc) there are 11 female only scholarships per 1 male only one & female only shortlists

so special treatments because of colour then?

Bore off

Prominent Hong Kong professor and pro-democracy activist fired by universityDecision to fire Benny Tai, a tenured law professor, goes against previous ruling by the university senate Good... quite frankly Hong Kong has had quite enough of these subversive activists and needs to get back to earning a living in peace.... We need the pro-democrat professor fired in Hong Kong here in the USA. We should trade him in exchange for getting rid of one of our leftist professors! Oh yes. It is about time. A law lecturer teaches his young students to break the law. He doesn't care how many young lives he destroyed, he only cares about his own interests and his shadowy backers' wishes.
