PETALING JAYA: The first day of school is always a day to remember but none would be as memorable as having the district police chief personally seeing you off as you entered the school gates.

Nur A'lia Batrisyia Ahmad Sukri - or Tisha to those close to her - became the envy of her schoolmates when she stepped out from a police vehicle as Petaling OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal opened the door for her on Wednesday .

He said while the public can see police personnel carrying out their duties, the sacrifices of their families are rarely acknowledged. Before she got her temperature checked, ACP Nik Ezanee poured some hand sanitiser on her hands and supplied her with a packet of face masks.
