The entertainment center for children said it will close its doors permanently due to the “massive impact” of the COVID-19 pandemic on its revenues.
“Even if we are allowed to operate in the future, the “new normal” will prohibit mass gathering and require children to remain at home,” the management said. KidZania Manila said it is doing everything it can to aid its employees by paying them severance benefits and providing job placement programs.“We salute our Kals — the Generation KidZania — who have spent time with us with unrelenting passion and spirit, which we hope they will keep alive as they face the future and build a better world,” KidZania Manila said.
KidZania is a “play city” where children can do role-play activities that allow them to “discover, explore, and learn about the adult world.” The interactive learning center has 65 role-play establishments including a bakeshop, a bookstore, hospital, beauty salon, a TV studio, and more.
