Betsy DeVos insisted that every school must reopen in the fall, but failed to provide even a cursory explanation for how that might be done without increasing coronavirus cases

that the country was conquering the “invisible enemy”—but he ultimately got his way. To some extent, almost every state has lifted its lockdown orders. Some did so prudently, and have so far managed to keep their caseloads relatively under control. Others, cheered on by Trump, were less cautious, and have seen infections skyrocket. Even with the dangerous surge in cases, though, Trump has shown no sign of backpedaling from his position that the nation must return to normal no matter what.

That attitude, it seems, extends to reopening schools, the newest front in the administration’s fight to pretend everything is fine. This stance was embodied by Education secretarywho on Sunday insisted that every school must reopen in the fall, but failed to provide even a cursory explanation for how that might be done without increasing coronavirus cases. “Kids need to get back to school,” she said in a CNN, downplaying CDC guidelines as “recommendations.

They've done the math. They know who's going to be hit hardest. Watch her exempt religious private schools like they did in Texas.

we have the internet, why risk the population? Keep kids and their families safe.

Why is this woman is the secretary of education, she is crazy look a her eyes when she talk. Cra Cra

Badly.

She has absolutely no qualifications for this role at all, she appears to be a halfwit whenever she speaks, so I wouldn’t do anything on her advice

Betsy & Erik family care about nothing but feeding an insatiable hunger for $. Holes in their heads-slots used to fill it. Bro Erik creates mayhem in ‘blue’ cities to profit from going in to ‘stop’ it. She’d kill kids if it’d help fill(w/unaborted)for profit charter schools.

DeVos is in for a rude awakening. Our kids won't be going to school. I know our family is not alone in rejecting this idea that our kids need to be sacrificed on an economic altar to appease Trump's vanity. NotMyKid

No plan, no openings!

Death wears pastel

Schools in Europe opened back in May. No masks and everyone is fine.
