The Victorian Government confirms it's back to remote learning for many prep to year 10 students. Here's your guide on how to get through homeschooling (again).

Kids need reassurance, so it's important to explain that this will only be temporary.

In a letter to parents earlier this year, Sydney's Canterbury Public School said it was important parents talk to their kids about what's happening because"Help your child to think about how they have coped with difficult situations in the past and reassure them that they will cope with this situation too. Remind them that the isolation won't last for long.""Kids need that. That's one of the reasons we have recess and lunchtime.

My observation is that the majority of parents are trying to juggle working from home and remote learning. Therefore ‘learning to braid’ is well off the cards. Perhaps this ‘survival guide’ should have taken into account realistic circumstances, as this really misses the mark.

For those parents who have to send their kids to school so that they can eat breakfast and lunch, hope food is being delivered to your dwellings.

Tips from people who homeschool are great, but we need to recognise this is a different scenario and we need a new set of advice for kids who aren’t used to it, parents who never had it on their bucketlists, and ‘if you can work from home you must work from home’

Perhaps you could provide teachers with a survival guide to survive the non-distanced conditions and lack of PPE we are being forced to work in? Or does our literal survival not really matter?

Dan doesn't want kids in school so they remain dumber than him.
