WBEZ Please, make D15Schools and DrLaurieHeinz codify: 1) Comprehensive mask enforcement policy, no soft language 2) Consequences for false self-reporting of symptoms (which is a formula for disaster anyway), and 3) What will desk spacing be - a number to which they will commit.
WBEZ Palatine D15Schools and DrLaurieHeinz require parents choose distance or in person for the whole year, no change allowed. Window to decide? Only seven days. Valuable data is still missing, including no written mask enforcement policy, no spacing spec (stated it will not be 6ft)

What level of community spread is acceptable in order for schools to open/remain open? Ie, at what point will schools need to close again?
CobbSchools isn’t making masks mandatory for kids! But you’re sent home if you have a hole on your jeans for violating the dress code. SMH.
A rough draft of my classroom. At most, 8 students for each class period. And, lots of cleaning between each class period.
Why do we still have disinfectant & PPE shortages?
Why is so much energy being put into cleaning school surfaces? They’ve been closed for long enough for no virus to exist. It will only infect the school when people are in it. The minute an infected person comes in it’ll need cleaning then. False security.
Will there be HVAC modifications made in all schools that have HVAC. Climates vary and not ALL schools can open windows. Too cold, too hot. Students and teachers need to be in rooms that have complete air exchange. of times per hour TBD by aerosol scientists and virologists.
NPR, HAVE YOU NOTICED how some schools are beginning with remote learning for 3 WEEKS before they move to on-site learning. I see they are going to wait to see how ON-SITE LEARNING will affect the high risk Students & Staff at others before they flick the switch to On-site.
Maybe do blended learning? Half online, half classroom. Split the school day into half days. Half the do online learning in the morning, and the other half are in the classroom. Then switch.
Question- if a teacher gets covid symptoms then will all of their students need to quarantine for two weeks? And will their families need to quarantine as well?
Some of us are already back in the classroom at private institutions.

My own district and Union cannot answer questions because most of what we, the teachers, want to know are about the unknowns/what ifs? They can't even tell us how they will enforce the mask mandate in school or if they can test students on a regular basis.
COVID cases are up 27% in our state yet they plan to open public schools as normal on August 3rd. They will be at least one child short because our son won't be there

Following being the operative word. You have already admitted you have no power to stop a government from putting your children at risk. Well done to use that to your advantage and appear to be doing something for the 'people' your government has decided to put in harms way.
Here’s the only question you need to ask. How many dead children will it take to re-close the schools. This is not snark. This is a valid question.
