'We want a Rolls Royce appeal system that you don't have to be a Supreme Court Judge to navigate.' Halfon4HarlowMP says this year's marking system could be unfair to disadvantaged pupils, who often receive lower predicted grades due 'unconscious bias'.

A small number of home testing kits will be sent to all schools and colleges by the start of next term, Mr Williamson vowed. In cases where an outbreak is feared, a mobile testing unit could be dispatched to schools to test others who have been in contact with the infected person - with priority for their class, then year, then the whole school if necessary.Limits on class sizes will be scrapped, and bubbles can encompass a whole class or a whole year group of potentially more than 200 students.

Mr Williamson said the government"has to" move back to compulsory education, but stressed fines are not the first action schools take when children are absent.Mr Williamson said pupils will be allowed to use school buses, but they could be segregated to ensure children remain in their bubbles. For many parents, breakfast clubs and after-school clubs are a saviour, and the education secretary said he wants them to resume - as well as summer programmes - despite coronavirus guidance aimed at preventing different year groups mixing.Schools will be expected to have plans in place for pupils who are self-isolating, including offering remote learning.Ofsted inspections are hoped to restart from January next year, Mr Williamson said.

Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders' union NAHT, added:"The situation seen in Leicester this week has demonstrated that this crisis is far from over, and there will be further disruption ahead.

halfon4harlowMP Garbage. Garbage. It all sounds like garbage to meee. Unconscious bias ! 🤯🤪

halfon4harlowMP Nonsense. Even the people who designed the unconscious bias test have admitted that it doesn’t work and never comes up with the same answer twice.

halfon4harlowMP ''Unconscious bias'' is going to be the buzzword of the 2020s you mark my words. It means that anyone can call you a racist, sexist, homophobe or any other kind of bigot without any evidence at all.
