Yeah, but nursing applications fell 30% after the Tories cut the student nursing bursary, so what this actually means is student nursing applications are still 20% lower than they were before the bursary was cut.

Very true. The greed of the RCN has always focussed on pay and on bursaries for students NOT on increasing training places. Naturally as a union they see benefits in keeping the supply side low.
