Math & Financial Literacy improvements to the Elementary Curriculum are so very welcome. Ontario students have been disadvantaged for years - empty talk, big promises & very little real action. Interested in how we got here? Read all about it!
A return to '60s Common Sense. Have I just entered a new dimension? Good to see it (having suffered the free for all 70s, 'take what ever you want 'electiveMania''), this is a really good development. Please integrate/match w/ biz sponsors to increase student summer hiring. :)
Gnosens Who writes the curriculum for coding? Half the teachers aren't even smart enough to turn on a computer, let alone teach coding.

Trudeau’s screw ups have made it so necessary to ensure everybody knows something about budgeting. Budgets don’t balance themselves. That’s less drama, more idiotic a belief. cdnpoli Canada
And how to give a blowjob at 6
It's a start..
It's one thing to know how to budget and another to implement a one.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out when they can't add, subtract, multiply, or divide without taking their shoes and socks off.
What about gender studies?
From teachers who don't know how to code or budget?
Awesome, can we send representatives from the government

Is that anything like teaching them how to get a mortgage, lease a car, max out your credit cards and fail to save for retirement or even an emergency? At least parents can help with the homework.
Exciting but let's see the program.

Can we get them back into the classroom full time first?

What language will they learn to code in? C? ASM? B, R, FORTRAN?
ElectTories Financially literacy is something that they don’t teach us as kids that’s why most of us have debts and are broke in our 20’s until when we finally realize at 30 or 40 our credit mistakes. Bravo for this initiative
