IPOH: Preschools and kindergartens will reopen as scheduled on July 1, says Deputy Education Minister 1 Datuk Dr Mah Hang SoonHe said this was due to decisions made following requests from parents who had to return to work and needed to send their children to preschools or kindergartens.

The National Union of the Teaching Profession had urged the government to postpone the reopening of preschools and kindergartens. Dr Mah said the reopening would proceed as planned and the ministry would provide assistance to kindergartens and preschools facing problems.
