Zero chance American schools make all these changes. Some might get close, but most will not have the funding, ability or talent to move this fast. Dysfunctional government is a USA tradition going back to the 1970's.
One of mine went back in uk because he's in the right year and he's loving it, changes taken in his stride, whereas my others are at home and trying to keep them engaged with online learning is getting harder & harder....

Reading these replies, I seem to be the only person who is a current high schooler in the US, to each their own for the parents but speaking for myself and many of my classmates, we’d be willing to do these things if it meant keeping each other safe but still going to school
Too many people count on Federal or State to do something. But is there anything anyone can do? Schools will be shut as long as there is one infected person. We will have to wear face mask and follow social distancing for a long time until vaccine or cure, or don’t care anymore.
