That's according to a roadmap to give guidance to schools about reopening in September published this lunchtime by the Government.
The guidelines say the impact of such a requirement on student's education and well-being would be "most extreme". The document states that a 50:50 blended school/home learning scenario would have "very serious impacts to the delivery of meaningful education".

In Perth WA schools are back to normal with over 90% attendance... No social distancing in the schools. Initially the Parent's were not allowed on site but that had been changed this week..

This makes no sense! I’m a preschool teacher and we are opening with our ratios and number of children remaining the same! How can it be ok to have up to 18 4 year olds together every day but not the same for primary school children 🤔🤔

Children without special needs should not even be going back they'll be fine for another bit, it's parents wanting to dump them in free childcare. The resources that free up could help children with special needs who ACTUALLY suffer from not being in school for even a few months.

It’s all or nothing I’m afraid. Children need and deserve a consistent routine. Easier to home school and arrange extracurricular and social activities around that than jump through Dept. of Educ. hoops to get access to part time schooling. I won’t send my child into an SD class.
