Education secretary confirms primary schools in England will not be able to welcome all pupils back for a month before the summer

Poorer pupils have been facing educational poverty for years - thanks to countless cuts in education. Academisation has led to thousands of children off rolled with no education at all, for better Progress 8 scores. Where was your care then?

Yet their families, and the pupils, are alive. We're teachers, we will do everything in our power to support all our pupils to 'catch up', probably off our own backs and with no extra funding, because that's what we do.

European history does teach about poverty all around the world. How can people prevent poverty without any thing for themselves? Are Hebrews going back to slavery tomorrow? The question is who is trying to give back to Europe? I feel that way in America. George Thomas
