Spokesman, Plateau State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba, also confirmed that the student had been released by her abductors. When asked about the release, Ogaba, who had said the abductors initially demanded N100m but reduced it to N6m, said, “Yes, she has been released. I called the Divisional Police Officer in the area where the lady was abducted and the officer told me that she has regained her freedom.”
The PPRO, however, did not state whether a ransom was paid or not to secure the release of the abductee.
