Lea Michele issued a statement on Instagram after being called out by her Glee co-stars for her inappropriate behavior on set.

Michele explained that her original tweet was meant to be a"show of support for our friends and neighbors and communities of colors during this really difficult time." However, the critical responses she received made her focus"specifically on how her own behavior towards fellow cast members" was perceived by them.

She then acknowledged her"privileged position and perspective," which may be the reasons why she was perceived as"insensitive" or"inappropriate at times." Michele said that she has used the past several months to reflect on her"own shortcomings" to be able to"grow and change."

Sana all na nasa position may ganitong cathartic episode now na for a better country.

Great! A REAL apology this time. NOT some IF I offended people or some BS non-apology. Moving forward, next step is to rectify the situation and offer to make amends. An apology doesn't end with a mere I AM SORRY. It's just the start ...
