DEN BOSCH, Netherlands - At the Springplank school in the Dutch city of Den Bosch, staff have installed plastic shields around students’ desks and disinfectant gel dispensers at the doorways as part of preparations to reopen amid the country’s coronavirus outbreak.
New infections in the Netherlands have been declining for weeks, and the government on Wednesday announced a schedule to relax some of its lockdown measures, with elementary schools to reopen on May 11.“We have flexible screens that we bought so we can protect our teachers if students are coughing.”
Isolation againts socialism, human true nature and values. Not againts virus. This isolation againts dignity and freedom, not virus.

They need more than that
I fail to see how that shield is protecting the student. I recently asked a car shop employee if the plexiglas he was sitting behind made him feel safe. “No, not really” was his reply. He had on a mask and so did I. They did disinfect my car key b4 handing it back to me.
And the teacher is not even standing behind one. Useless.
I am Dutch. I seriously doubt the plastic shields will happen next week. Of course the social distancing and all necessary steps will be taken but the plastic shield are in my opinion a step to far for the Dutch.
I’d be very curious how they’re managing younger students.
Innovation is the key
That is horrible. What an overstep. It looks totally dystopian and dehumanizing. We can't live every day going forward like there's viral contamination lurking everywhere.
What about recess/lunch/bus rides to and from? Makes zero sense if their school year ends at the end of June? Kids will have far too much stress over this.
