WA teachers urge parents to keep children home in advertising attack against Government

Hale School headmaster Dean Dell'Oro told Mix 94.5 Radio he also expected to see students back in the classroom.

"We've made the decision about public schools on the best of health and the best of education advice," he said.It looks increasingly likely some of WA's coronavirus restrictions will soon be eased — but little is known about the plan to roll back the rules.

If its totally safe for kids to go back to school, why then has my daughters school changed their timetable for the rest of the year?

Just cut their salaries by 50%. They’ll quickly tell the union where to put it.

This is a false headline. It wasn’t teachers, it was the teachers union. As a member I was not asked whether I wanted this placed into the paper.

If teachers can't 'read' the science facts presented, is it any wonder our kids are so low on the OECD scale ...

Good, can't take your kids to the beach, bush walks but can send them tom school. What an idiot, still doesn't know what he is doing.

There is no zero risk solution and teachers and their union need to get over the “too risky” line. The advice is it’s low risk and any outbreaks would be traceable, able to be locked down. It’s a trade off so school should be back. Stop asking for zero risk outcomes.

Science: Quote from 5 March 15:30 Ben Cowling, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at the University of Hong Kong. He wonders whether the fact that outbreaks haven’t been observed in schools could be down to the fact that children’s symptoms are mild.

Can we see a report on this clear scientific data? It is different from the president of the Australian Medical Associations advice. Forgive my lack of trust for government. It's just that some of them regularly get caught telling lies and avoid answering straight questions.

Their ABC & Unions are deadset communists. These are the same unions who screech about believing the science of the climate hoax, yet deny the medical and scientific facts of the spread of coronavirus. Never the principal or the truth for the left, always the communist side.

Australia needs professional non union Teachers trained up outside of the current system and begin a redundancy program with the existing ones. Not only do the current ones not want to work, they are just not up to it.

Politicians main focus. Get economy back up quick as. Politicians use unseen medical advice to get your kids back to school. Teachers are the ones in the class, telling you social distancing and hygiene is not in place yet. Trying to protect them and the kids...

No they didn’t. The Union did.

The scum couldn't hold themselves back.

If the brave men and women can front up to their jobs in supermarkets, with 1000s of ppl shopping everyday, then teachers can work too.

Yet playgrounds, skate parks and gardens are closed. Go figure!

Holy confused Batman! have lessons on the way to school on the bus?

Imagine begging your clients not to use yur service so you could stay home and get paid, while parents lose their jobs. That's seriously selfish. Absolutely ridiculous that ppl are still in panic mode.

Eventually most schooling will be done online anyway, maybe they should just cut to the chase.

Has the teachers union provided statistics on the prevalence of severe respiratory conditions in young children?
