Oyo State has recorded its first death from coronavirus, an official has said.Governor Seyi Makinde made this announcement in a series of tweets Wednesday night.Mr Makinde said, “The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE.

The governor also said that the number of active cases in the state is now five “because one confirmed case has been transferred to Lagos State.” “We thank APIN Health Initiatives who donated medical supplies, Aviel Apparel who offered their factory as the venue for the production of one million face masks, and all others who donated in cash and kind towards the government’s effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
