McHugh: Leaving Cert to start 'potentially' on July 29

The Minister for Education has said that this year's Leaving Certificate exams could "potentially" begin on 29 July.

Speaking this evening on an Instagram Live chat organised by youth organisation Spunout.ie, Joe McHugh has said the Leaving Cert would begin as always on a Wednesday and his department was "looking potentially" at 29 July.Mr McHugh said that "the date that we are going to be looking at is that Wednesday, 29 July, and I will confirm that in a couple of days' time".

Could you learn from texts telling you to do questions........mock papers not handed back ,grandparent very sick❓❓❓

Next will be the cancelling of all the elements that involve coursework that the diligent students have spent so much time on....... So the feckless will be rewarded Shambolic

Great news! Now let these students return to school immediately so they can have a chance at achieving the results they deserve!

Galway school decides against Junior Cert participationA Co Galway secondary school has decided not to participate in this year's Junior Certificate exams. Good on them. Good But the junior cert is already cancelled to be replaced by classroom assessment and some sort of school exam early next school year.
