The Minister for Education has said that this year's Leaving Certificate exams could "potentially" begin on 29 July.

Speaking this evening on an Instagram Live chat organised by youth organisation Spunout.ie, Joe McHugh has said the Leaving Cert would begin as always on a Wednesday and his department was "looking potentially" at 29 July.Mr McHugh said that "the date that we are going to be looking at is that Wednesday, 29 July, and I will confirm that in a couple of days' time".
