UniMAP using tracking tech to monitor students, staff during MCO

Universiti Malaysia Perlis is using GPS tracking technology to monitor its students and staff and is cross-referring the data with NSC-designated Covid-19 red zones. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Irwan Majid, March 25, 2020.

UNIVERSITI Malaysia Perlis is using location tracking technology to monitor the safety of its 17,000 students and staff during the implementation of the movement-control order . Its vice-chancellor Prof R. Badlishah Ahmad said through the technology, all UniMAP students and staff can update their locations, and the university can analyse the data collected throughout the MCO period.
