American actor Tom Hanks, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week, has been discharged from the Gold Coast University hospital.Hanks was in Queensland to work on an Elvis biopic with director Baz Luhrmann.
The production of the film has been put on hold and other cast and crew are believed to be in self-isolation. Hanks revealed the couple's diagnosis on social media last week and thanked"everyone here Down Under" who had taken care of them."There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?" he wrote.
Queensland's coronavirus cases have climbed to 69 after a woman who visited Hamilton Island in north Queensland tested positive yesterday.
Poor old Tom . Been a fav of mine for years but he lost his soul some time ago . ( sigh ) 😭
Good for them but please keep isolating themselves. Numerous examples in China and Japanese too where people went back to be positive carriers after two negatives tests post recovery. Please don’t hold another concert!

Concerning that infected persons (Dutton, Hanks et al) are released to self isolate ... until when? This suggests hospital COVID19au wards are at limit & freeing up beds. Allowing infected into general population is wrong move

So it doesn't look like it's all that bad? Would you consider interviewing him to see how bad it was, what his symptoms were and what treatment was required? It's a chance to do a case study to help inform us all of the consequences of this illness.
