That's all nice but the government should have a plan in place for emergencies like this. Taxpayers have already paid for their lunches.

I think this is great as an extra layer of support but is VA not doing something as well. I mean B-more is doing something.
🤔 if kids are given free/reduced lunches at school it's because their parent/parents applied for it. If the parents passed the requirements for that, then they would pass the requirements for SNAP and be issued a EBT card that would net them free groceries every month.

Each child who is receiving reduced price meals or free meals should receive a hamper before the school closes. The hamper could include granola bars, applesauce, cereal, eggs, potatoes, And canned goods like soup, pork and beans etc.
