after the young educator taught a Black History Month lesson to fourth-graders, asking them to recite graphic, violent methods to control slaves, officials said Thursday.

After reading the material in which Lynch purportedly advocated for physical and psychological torture of slaves, students were asked,"To keep their slaves subservient, plantation owners should" with a series of blank bullet points for youngsters to fill in.

I wonder what was in the 'approved' text book about slavery. That needs to be part of this story.

I will never forget when I was in the 5th or 6th grade my social studies teacher had the class do a project on slaves and Egyptians. 1/2 class was slaves one day 1/2 the next. It was a learning experience, didn’t scar me. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. RIP Mr Washgtn
