New vaccine hope as viruses are discovered in one in eight tumours, fuelling prospect of scientists developing preventative jabs

Epstein-Barr virus may be linked to breast and prostate cancer, new study claims. So too may be type of herpes virus carried by almost everyone from childhood. Scientists who analysed more than 2,600 tumours found viruses in 13 per cent.
