A rightwing University of Queensland student group has been caught on film attacking a drag queen storytelling event at a Brisbane library.

Drag queens aren't really for kids. They're a night club act being brought into libraries because it's popular right now. They're generally men dressed in hyper-sexualised versions of feminity. If people want their kids to see that, okay. If people oppose that, it's also okay.

I would be quite happy for my son to be a drag queen, if that’s what he chooses. My daughter had a fabulous drag queen at her 13th birthday. I believe in equality and self expression. Not repression and oppression.
