Tens of thousands have taken part in a nationwide protest organised by university students demanding climate action after several months of disastrous bushfires, whilst also calling for Scott Morrison to be ‘sacked’.

2min

Authorities have urged people not to attend as it could be a distraction for police and emergency services as their resources could be better used elsewhere. The group's main demands were for the prime minister to be sacked, volunteer firefighters to be paid, and for Australia to move away from fossil fuels. Twenty-thousand protesters hit the streets of Sydney, whilst the rallies in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide were all shut down.

We need stop those left-wing Loony environmentalists aka marxists in their tracks! There is a Marxist conference on Easter weekend. We must go there and protest against it. Death to marxism. Better dead than red

Nothing more than the “ haters from the left “ mobilising again to vent their fury at loosing the last election . The quiet Australians will continue to prevail and the left will continue to loose but hey .....makes for a good spectacle and makes them all feel good !

All fools all of them !

Uni students I wonder if there were any protesting studying to be brain surgeons😛

Tens of thousands my arse. The brainwashed sheep. The awake people were home eating popcorn and laughing at these fools. You can guarantee that if the left are calling for Morrisons resignation - he's pissing off the Globalists and Deep State.

maybe they can vote for a new government in a few years. until then they can either work with the rest of us or just get out of the way and let the grown ups do the work

10s of thousands WTF Sky ?

Pretty sure it was Sack Scuntmo first. Climate action second!

Notice 'organised by university students' - suppose that's meant to be derogatory? To the hard right rump who barely finished high school anyway.

The problem they have is that millions support our PM. We just can't be arsed to organise a rally.BTW have you ever seen that many unemployed in one spot other than a Centerlink office.

UnQuietAust Uni Students Then quite a lot of Us, are Studying for our 'BaT' (Bachelor of Twitter)

The one on the left, is one of those condemning our Prime Minister. This is their calibre. Two faced hypocrites.

What are they willing to give up for their climate action. Are they willing to give up modern technology I’m not sure what the main objective here is🤔Are the advocating we go back to a more subsistence style of living.

The education system is done for. These students have been scammed out of a proper education. They've been brainwashed by this climate nonsense.

Two and a half more years you get to vote on that, that's how the system works

Typically useless grandstanding by uni lefties, go and help the bushfire effected communities you bunch of future dole bludgers !!

klimateklowns

Extinction Rebellion trademark is not registered it poses as a threat to climate change activist legal legitimate sea ,because the word rebellion means TREASON .

Remember the outrage at a single sign that said ‘ditch the witch’ being held behind tony Abbott - this is ‘ditch the witch’ times a 1000+. These people are hypocrites and don’t respect our democracy

Australians want to thrive, not just survive, in the 21st century. Catastrophic climate change is preventable with leadership. We can change direction. AustralianBushfireDisaster NationalSecurityAtRisk leadership ClimateActNow

The system has to change. We are run by Corporations and people who hide in the shadow. auspol

The thing that makes me laugh most about this (once I get past their selfishness and attention-seeking) is the complete lack of understanding about democracy and the constitution. Who do they actually think can “sack” a PM. The sky fairies? A unicorn?

Pick up a hose you do nothings

I would love to know what specific actions they would like the prime minister to take, that would have stopped these man-made bushfires? or How one country can stop climate change?

( Scot Morrison ) This person has no human feeling, at least, after the death of more than a billion animals burned alive, he should have resigned immediately.

Was this all part of the plan start the fires to rally the people

Go the students

Nice and none of them would help the fire fighters, makes you wonder about there true motivations

Cut their Austudy payments. They'll change their tune.

They need to realise we live in a democratic country! Nothing will change until 2022!

Ferals

How many millions didn't participate?

They would do better volunteering for the respective Rural Fire Service of their states, and do something useful rather than drain public resources in this crisis. fire firecrisis

good on them.. from a quiet Australian

No one is forcing them to use electricity.

Are they chanting Albo and de Natalie then. God help us......
