Collectively, we are a nation with some of the historically oldest civilisations in the world - the Chinese, Indians and Abrahamics. So if you want to go the way our neighbour Singapore has done and proven itself as one of the best in the world, then we have got to be able to trust the people in power.
Our education system, especially in national schools, is outdated and not inclusive of the changes happening around us. Instead, emphasis is placed on the learning of a single religion. The Perlis mufti is increasingly fond of wading into extremism and propagating as mainstream the position that as he is from the race and religion that are the majority in this country, he has the right to require and impose any policy on the minorities regardless of the harm and prejudice it causes to the latter.
