The Department of Education enjoined its schools’ divisions to endorse nominees for the search for the 2020 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos .Education Secretary Leonor Briones, in DepEd Memorandum No. 170 series of 2019, noted that the deadline for the 2020 Metrobank OF award would be on December 27, 2019.
The search is held in partnership with the DepEd, Commission on Higher Education , the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, Rotary Club of Makati Metro, Philippine Savings Bank, and Rotary Club of New Manila East. For the 2019 MOF, Dorothy Tarol, SPED teacher and guidance counselor from the Special Education-Integrated School for Exceptional Children for elementary level; and Cristina Cristobal, Special Science Teacher V from Philippine Science High School Main Campus for the secondary level were among the awardees.
