Child safety seat education first, enforcement later, says Loke

Transport Minister Anthony Loke says drivers who don’t abide by the new child safety seat law after six months will be punished. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 14, 2019.

ENFORCEMENT of child safety seats in private cars will only come into effect six months after the implementation of the ruling, effective January 1, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke. He stressed action will be taken against errant motorists after the first six months, to allow for education and to increase public awareness.
