ANGRY parents hit out at a school after a boy of seven suffered serious burns at its nativity.Emergency services arriving on the scene in Croydon, South LondonThe boy was airlifted to hospital and is in a critical but stable condition. Sixty year-three pupils from St Thomas Becket Catholic School in Croydon, South London, took part in Wednesday’s carol service.The boy screamed in terror while his watching father was heard yelling “my son”.
Parents said they were not told kids would be carrying lit candles. They also said the kids were crammed in a tiny area behind the altar at Our Lady of The Annunciation Church. One mother whose daughter was in the play said: “Did they not think about costumes, or little girls with long hair and kids shuffling about with these candles in a very small area? The school let them down.”
The mum went on: “It was mayhem.
